10 U.S. Figure Skaters to Compete in Triglav Trophy

In the ladies novice division Megan Oster (Kenosha, Wisc.) and Cara Kinney (Noblesville, Ind.) will contend with 22 other skaters. The U.S. skaters placed third and fourth as novices at the 2004 State Farm U.S. Championships, respectively. Danielle Shepard (Litchfield, N.H.) will compete at the junior division in Slovenia after taking second in novice at the 2004 U.S. Championships.
Competing on the men's side are Daisuke Murakami (Corona, Calif.), Stephen Carriere (Wakefield, Mass.) and Douglas Razzano (Tempe, Ariz.). Murakami was the novice silver medalist at the 2004 U.S. Championships and will compete in the same division at the Triglav Trophy. Carriere and Razzano will vie in the junior division in Slovenia after placing fourth and fifth in novice at the 2004 U.S. Championships, respectively.
The U.S. sends two junior pairs to Slovenia: Mariel Miller & Rockne Brubaker (Colorado Springs/Highlands Ranch, Colo.) and Lindsey & Andy Seitz (Bettendorf, Iowa). Miller and Brubaker are the 2004 U.S. novice silver medalists, while the Seitzes took eighth in the junior division.
The event kicks off with the official draw on April 14 with competition taking place throughout the weekend. Following the finals on April 18 is an awards ceremony and gala featuring the top three finishers in each division.
